  • Hello, new to Pinpoint Booking System.

    I am not receiving ADMIN notifications of bookings.

    Please advise.

    Sabina, I see you are requesting a PM with login creds from people having the same problem. I don’t see how to send a PM ???

    Send the WP login information here, in a private reply.
    Find the option “Set as private reply” bellow the message box.

    This is an automatic action, which occurs after a week, if the user provided sensitive information in a private reply.



    Any progress on this? Haven’t heard anything since I provided the info you requested Sabina….which was a few days ago.

    Did you try to use the SMTP option to send email notifications ?

    Specifically the following support page…it doesn’t get into any specifics on the email notification sweetings.

    There isn’t any documentation about this.
    You have these fields to select the function to sent notifications:
    Admin notifications method
    and
    User notifications method
    – Select the SMTP one.

    In the SMTP settings fields, set the information for it.
    You have to use a different admin email address than the one from the SMTP settings, but from the same domain.

    You can contact your host, or search for the SMTP information depending on the email address.
    You can use one SMTP method for admin notifications, and the other for users notifications.

    Is the WordPress wp_mail() broken within the Pinpoint Booking plugin? I was under the impression that the admin of the website, when using WordPress wp_mail() , would be notified without setting up SMTP.

    I am looking into the email methods.
    The admin receives email notifications via the select method.
    If the selected method does not work, it will send with the next available function.

    The plugin is great but this does seem to be a weak point as can be seen by all the problems with notification.

    This is critical. A comprehensive demo…either by video or write up would be great.

    I have no idea. All i’m trying to do is be assured I get notice of a reservation while the Renter gets a customized reply (including images) once he/she books.

    A detailed write up on emails and the customization of…is super important.

    You can contact the host about any trouble with the email server.

    You can add html code in the Email templates to customize them.
    It is a general customization.
    If you have to customize the emails for each booking, it’s not possible via Pinpoint.
